Long-range sensors have detected an alien comm relay station in this system which is capable of broadcasting as far as the Kilrah System. Although the Midway is temporarily scrambling alien transmissions to the comm array, this station must be rendered inoperable to protect our advances into alien-held territory. Due to the importance of the target, the aliens have established a significant defensive presence in this system. In order to reduce these forces, we will attempt to lure them into an ambush by feigning an attack on the relay station. Your Alpha Wing will lead an assault force of Shrike bombers to the comm station, where you will attempt to destroy its transmitter arrays. Bravo and Charlie wings will protect your flanks. When the enemies counter-attack, you will be recalled to the Midway -- here at the T'lan Meth jump point. The carrier TCS Eisen has taken up a position beyond the jump point, and will send members of the Wolf Pack Squadron through the jump, closing the trap. When all enemies are destroyed, you will be cleared for landing.

Notes
- There are a lot of fighters in this one, and you are only in a bomber. Your mission is to take out the comm array, but don't worry about doing that until the ambush is over and the area is clear. There's no point evading fighters while trying to get a torpedo lock if you don't have to. Just make sure you don't hit autopilot until the job is done.
- When Anderson calls you to the ambush area, afterburn towards the gray dot on your radar. No matter how quickly you get there, he'll still yell at you to get there quicker so just ignore him.
- The best way to attack the comm station is to fly directly above the large disk at the top of the station and launch torpedoes from there. That position gives you a perfect shot at every one of the station's antennae.

Due to our successful attack on the relay station's main array, alien contact with their primary fleet has been severed. The Midway is currently moving into position to block the H'rissith jump point and prevent enemy forces from sending a ship to warn their fleet. In order to assure that no enemy forces escape with a warning, your Alpha Wing will conduct a four-point patrol along this route. Seek out and destroy all enemy craft, being careful to eliminate any forces which attempt to flee. At NAV 3, you will perform a visual recon of the destroyed comm array and eliminate any remaining defenders at the station. When your patrol is complete you will return to the Midway.

Due to our unsuccessful attack on the relay station's main arrays, the aliens may still be able to establish contact with their primary fleet. Although the Midway is still scrambling transmissions, our equipment is less than adequate, and the aliens could break through at any time. While continuing to block their communications, the Midway is also moving into position to block the H'rissith jump point and prevent enemy forces from sending a ship to warn their fleet. Your Alpha Wing will conduct a two-part mission. Patrol these NAV points, eliminating any and all alien vessels. Be certain that no ships are able to flee. At NAV 3, you will again attempt to cripple the primary communications equipment on the comm station, as well as eliminating any remaining defenders at the station. When your objectives are completed, return to the Midway.

Notes
- Although you are told not to let any ships escape, the only ships which are actually trying to escape are the two Tritons.
- If you didn't get the comm array in the last mission, you have another chance here, but you'd better hope your bombers go for the transports first otherwise they could escape. Hopefully they'll have enough torpedoes left after taking out the cruiser at NAV 1, but you're going to take out the fighters and turrets quickly and make sure the bombers don't get hurt, right?
- Use your missiles when you need them in this mission. Chances are you'll run out before the end anyway.

Briefing

Your Alpha Wing will escort a marine landing craft to the dry dock at NAV 1. Provide cover for the LC while the marines dock and attempt to secure the vessel. When the Ship Killer is secured, you will escort the Marine Craft back to the Midway.

Notes
- Your first task is to take out the turrets on the Kraken so the Marine LC can get in safely. After that all you can do is sit and attack enemy fighters until the Kraken fires its engines.
- Once the Kraken fires it's engines, first take out the Devil Ray, then launch your torpedoes at the bridge and engines. Once you have destroyed the Kraken and the area is clear, you can head back to Midway.
Outcome
- Success and choose Vampire go to Hrissith 1a.
- Success and choose Devastator go to Hrissith 1b.
- Failure you lose.

Comments : Park behind the Krakken and wait. When the engines come on line I'd say the priority is Engines > Devil Ray > Bridge rather than Ray > Engines > Bridge. If you've got some left over, try the Darts on the Ray or any stragglers for a quick kill

Comments : The Stingrays should be your primary target in this mission. Be sure to break any cluster as quikly as you can to prevent any serius damage of your friendly ships, or your ship itself.

Comments : you do not need to visit nav2 or 4. go to nav3 first. knock out turrets on tritons then join the fight for the fighters. now select nav 1, take out the turrets and then missile turrets on the cruiser, join the fight. return to midway, fly in, DONE!

Comments : Can any of you give me tips on how to accomplish the "Protect Your Wing During Patrol" objective on this mission? No matter how hard I try to protect them, one of them always gets blown away at the fourth nav point in about 20 seconds or so

Comments : I seem to be stuck at Nav 3; all the fighters have been destroyed, and all of my allies are intact, but none of my bombers are going after the transports. What should I do?

Comments : this seems to have the same scoring bug as one of the earlier missions: success on all objectives including secondary and bonus, with good combat stats, no damage, etc, still maxes out in the low 70s

Comments : confirmed. using the numbers from the readme, ship damage is apparently being counted as 100% no matter what, putting the maximum score at 80%. 65% all objectives completed, 10% for 100% missile accuracy, 2.7% for 54% gun accuracy, score = 77%, with 6% ship damage: should have been 18.8% higher.
tried it with invulnerability for 0% damage, score is still -20%.
