Wing Commander III KILRAH SYSTEM
Kilrah 1
Notes
- At Nav 1, take out the two Sorthaks, then wait a few seconds. When a blue Jump light appears where the Auto light usually is, press your J key and you'll find yourself in the Kilrah system.
- Sometimes your autopilot light comes on even if capships are still in the area. If this happens, just autopilot on. Taking out capships isn't one of your objectives.
- If you have more than one wingman, your Break and Attack shortcut key will only issue the order to your first wingman. You'll need to issue the command manually to the other two wingmen.
Outcome
Kilrah 2
Notes
- Like the previous mission, don't worry about the capships. Simply take out the fighters and move on. You may hear the mission lost music when you do reach the second supply depot, but it doesn't affect anything.
- The only slightly unusual thing in this mission is being attacked by three Sorthaks at once at the last Nav point. Be as quick as you can taking them out because having three lots of Sorthaks gunning for you is not fun. Their rear turrets can tear you up too.
- When you reach the second supply depot, land. The T-Bomb and a cloaking device will automatically be loaded on your Excalibur, but you'll only have space left for 6 missiles. It's time for the final leg...
Outcome
Success go to Kilrah 3. Failure you lose.
Kilrah 3
Notes
- The T-Bomb will lock on to fighters, so be sure you don't fire it by mistake.
- Once again, don't worry about the capships. Fly to Nav 3 and take out the two waves of Darkets. When there is just the Light Destroyer left, cloak, then autopilot. If you don't cloak first, you will face endless waves of fighters at Nav 4 and you won't be able to complete the mission. So cloak. Press Ctrl-C to cloak. Everything will go black and white when you are cloaked. You can then autopilot to Nav 4.
- Thrakhath is at Nav 4 along with Hobbes if you didn't chase after him before. Don't worry about anything other than destroying Hobbes and Thrakhath. You'll head down to the planet as soon as they're dead so you won't have to worry about the Paktahns and the following wave of Darkets.
- Once you are on the planet's surface, cloak again and afterburn towards the white cross on your screen (rotate until you see it). The fault line is at this point. It will take several minutes to reach it even afterburning. Once you are within range, you will be able to target it, so do so. Get to about 5000 klicks away from it and be directly above it. Face the fault line, select the T-Bomb, and wait until it locks on. Then fire... when the T-Bomb hits the fault line, you win.
Outcome
Success you win! Failure you lose.

Mission : 3
Comments : You can cloak again once you are in Kilrah's atmosphere. Alternatively, you can avoid the Ekapshi completely by flying through the valley, which takes longer, but more satisfying. (No Death Star Trench Run reference here!)

Mission : 3
Comments : You can infinite Afterburn, if you put the Afterburner and later the autoslide key.

Mission : final mission to kilrah
Comments : any ideas what happens if you knocked out thrakath AND got back to the ship earlier (it can be done!)do you face him again?
Submitted by : StarLight
Mission :
Comments : If you knock out Thrakhath beforehand, you face him again. It you take out Hobbes after he kills Cobra, you face one less ace prior to Kilrah entry. You MUST take out Hobbes first and then Thrakhath, otherwise you face infinite Pakthan.

Mission : Kilrah - Last Legs
Comments : Is it just me, or do your Wingmen to sort of... die randomly? I did notice on the last leg, I got infinite waves of Stalker(Strakha Ace) until my Wingman was down. I eventually got frustrated and had Flint go home, and Stalker stopped appearing.

Mission :
Comments : all of your wingmen die in this mission including maniac and vagbond, but this was all before wc4 and im glad they returned for one last good wc game

Mission :
Comments : Your wingmen die off depending on the order in which you picked them. If you replay the mission over and over and over, they will die off in the same order at around the same time. If you don't like it, just send them home before they die.

Mission : Kilrah
Comments : Just remember: If you and Flint are an item, DO NOT take her along, she will not survive.

Mission : Kilrah Series - Wingman deaths
Comments : Pick Wingmen A, B, and C. Kilrah 1, A always dies. Kilrah 2, B always dies. Kilrah 3, C always dies. Now, for a real challenge, just exit wingman selection instead of anyone...makes for a VERY difficult challenge, but exceptionally satisfying.

Mission :
Comments : Whoever your last wingman is, tell them to return to base at nav 3 once most of the enemies are gone. Kill the last single ship, cloak, go to Nav 4.
Make sure Nav 3 is clear before cloaking.

Comments : Can somebody help me with the Playstation version? I can't cloak, and I don't have an instruction manual, so I can't find out how to cloak.

Mission :
Comments : I killed Thrakath earlier, and contrary to what is posted here, on dropping into the nav with Hobbes, I found Hobbes, 2 Paktahn, and 6 Sorthaks (much harder to beat than just Thrakath).

Mission : 3
Comments : if you have gone to nav 4 wiwhout cloaking, there is a way to finish the game: cloak, czhange to nav 3 on nav map, run away from sorthaks, so you can auopilot, choose nav 4 again, autopilot. Do not decloak at nav 3

Mission : Kilrah 1-3
Comments : doesnt matter if your wingmen die. you wont get any additional cutscenes anyway if they live. anyway you can send them home at each NAV1 (or 2) before they die, if you dont want them to die. just make sure they follow orders (not maniac, not flash). take vaquero, Vagabond and no 3rd.

Mission : Kilrah 3
Comments : Make this easy on yourself - go after Hobbes when he's discovered (who needs Vaquero?0. That way all you have at the last nav point is Thrahkath (if you remembered to cloak). I got right behind him, matched his speed while cloaked, then decloaked and let him have all 6 IFF's as fast as possible. As soon as he exploded, it was down to Kilrah

Comments : Just don't select a full salvo for Thrahkath; that'll cost you the Temblor Bomb. And the game
