It is accessed by visiting Taffin Reclamation on Crius after accessing the Canera file in the Commerce & Communications Network Public Records database. The player must choose whether or not to threaten Taffin.

HAL TAFFIN: Am I me? Then again, who's asking?

LEV ARRIS: My name's Lev Arris. I believe you're in possession of a medical pod.

HAL TAFFIN: Oh, no, not me. Uh-huh.

LEV ARRIS: The public database says you got it off the Canera.

HAL TAFFIN: Don't believe everything you read in the database. Now if you'll excuse me, I got a wayward biochip I got to de-discombobulate. Good day.

25th Anniversary

On May 20, 2020, Privateer 2: The Darkening director Steve Hilliker released The Darkening 25th Anniversary Restoration which featured footage restored from Betacam tapes. The footage has been edited down into a cinema cut but where available it is of much higher quality than the game's files.

SC.111 EXT . TAFFIN' S SHOP. CRIUS - DAY ( COMPUTER GENERATED ) BLUESCREEN ELEMENT

A cab pulls up to it.

SC.112 INT. TAFFIN'S SHOP

A lot of futuristic "paperwork" lying around on desks and
tables -- data solids, terminals buried under business. SFX:
CHIME. HAL TAFFIN gets up, moves INTO SHOT. He is a tall,
thin man, narrow-eyed, narrow-faced, suspicious-looking. The
door opens: Arris is there.

TAFFIN

Yes, what is it? Who sent you?

ARRIS

Are you Hal Taffin?

TAFFIN

I might be, then again...Who's asking?

ARRIS

My name's Lev Arris. I believe you're

in possession of a medical pod.

SC.113 ANOTHER ANGLE

Arris comes in a little way. Taffin suddenly looks alert.

TAFFIN

Oh no. Not me. Uh uh.

ARRIS
