LEV ARRIS: Serra, look, I'm sorry. Please, please listen, I... I really need this information and, and I don't know what to do to get it.

SHERNIKOV RECEPTIONIST: Not threatening people might be one place to start.

LEV ARRIS: Consider yourself unthreatened. Please, I really need your help.

LEV ARRIS: Is it uhm, is it allright then if I just wait until someone comes who I can take this up with?

SHERNIKOV RECEPTIONIST: Allright, but I can't guarantee anything different will happen. What's so special about this pod?

LEV ARRIS: I was in it. I was being transported for a medical facility and they, uhm, they left me with some physical problems that I won't be able to handle until I find out where that facility was. But the pod went down in the Canera.

SHERNIKOV RECEPTIONIST: My goodness.

LEV ARRIS: And some data was lost from the pod's memory and now it can't be traced. Listen, I, uhm, I have the pod's serial number if, if it would be of any help.

SHERNIKOV RECEPTIONIST: Come here. I really shouldn't be doing this. There, it was comissioned and paid for by a Jan Mitorr on Janus IV. Goodness. The record's almost twenty years old.

LEV ARRIS: What?

SHERNIKOV RECEPTIONIST: Anyway, there's his address. Though there's no guarantee he's there anymore. Was that all you came about?

LEV ARRIS: Yeah.

SHERNIKOV RECEPTIONIST: Right. I've transferred the information into your computer. Now you better get out of here before my boss gets back. I never saw you. Even if you do look a lot like my little brother.

LEV ARRIS: Serra, thanks very much.

SHERNIKOV RECEPTIONIST: Come on, get out before my boss sees you and asks what you wanted.

25th Anniversary

On May 20, 2020, Privateer 2: The Darkening director Steve Hilliker released The Darkening 25th Anniversary Restoration which featured footage restored from Betacam tapes. The footage has been edited down into a cinema cut but where available it is of much higher quality than the game's files.

Betacam

A pair of Betacam SP tapes recovered from Digital Anvil have provided high quality versions of much of Privateer 2: The Darkening's Main Plot. These cuts are not final and digital effects are missing.

Origin Museum VHS

A VHS tape digitized by Joe Garrity of the Origin Museum included versions of edits 7 through 74.

Storyboards

A collection of Privateer 2 Storyboards has been provided by Joe Garrity of the Origin Museum. They cover the Main Plot cutscenes.

Script

The The Darkening Script Draft 7 used during the game's shooting has been provided by Erin Roberts.
