Gemini Gold's latest improvement takes place in the Commodity Exchange. They've taken out the ungainly purchase menu and put in an interface that closely resembles the original. Some of the back stock appears to have sold out and a light bulb must've popped up front, but the new store looks pretty good. John Cordell and team have spent most of the year removing rushed elements that didn't mesh well and painstakingly replacing them with new art. Many people have complained about the unprivateerish GUI in Gemini Gold, so we set as one goal for the next release a complete GUI redesign in the spirit of good old Privateer. A few month ago Claudio Freire started to create a basic framework for all necessary interfaces and rolled out the Mission Computer. Unfortunately he needed to take a break and everything was on hold for weeks. Then Andy Westrate found us and stepped into the team. He took Claudio's code developed it further to upgrade the commodity exchange system.
