Old Fighters Or New?

NinjaLA has created another neat sketch. He's mocked up five designs that are supposed to be old fighters that have been mentioned in official sources - but never seen. Since he used 'modern' game ships as an inspiration, some of these spaceframes may have ended up looking a little too much like their successors. Even still, each ship is an interesting caricature piece at the very least. Can you tell which fighter each is based on? You can help provide feedback at Crius.net.

NinjaLA recently won the CIC's Xbox 360 contest by artistically recreating a capship battle from Wing Commander Arena.

By popular request, here's the original "human" fighter designed for an early concept of Wing Commander Arena which would have included all new ships. Note the line running along the top of the wing - the design was to include wide-tracking guns which could move back and forth along this bar.
