1ST LIEUTENANT VELINA SOSA: I wish I could light a candle for everyone on that planet.
COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BLAIR: It'd fill up a space a lot bigger than this, that's for sure.
1ST LIEUTENANT VELINA SOSA: It'd fill up a whole planet. You know, in all the years of the Kilrathi War, I don't think I ever heard of anything so hideous. Pinpoint killing of the innocent; the wrong DNA strand becomes a death sentence.
COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BLAIR: It's evil. There's no other word for it.
1ST LIEUTENANT VELINA SOSA: If I'd gone down to that planet with you, would I be dead too? Would anybody be lighting a candle for me?

A Wing Commander IV shooting script has been digitized from the collection of the University of Texas at Austin. A digital version (extracted below) was posted to Origin's Wing Commander IV website in 1996.
storage hold - sosa (optional) -M2 blair sees sosa lighting a candle. She drips some wax on the ledge of a bulkhead, then sets the candle on the hardening wax.
only now does she see blair...
sosa I wish I could light a candle for everyone on that planet.
blair It'd fill up all this space, that's for sure.
