Hellcat Prepped for Paint Share on Bluesky Share on Facebook Share on Twitter

Whiplash has pretty much finished the exterior spaceframe of his custom Hellcat fighter. His most recent additions finalized the engine intakes and mounted the ventral wingtip stabilizers. To get ready for the painting phase, some basic lines have been sketched on the hull. The intakes again got some good treatment in regards to this, and the cockpit was also marked up quite a bit. It's the first area to start getting filled in, which you can see in the last shot below. It should look great as more areas get colored in!
Hellcat V looks menacing and ready to take on some furballs (or maybe Border Worlds insurgents, seeing as this is the WCIV version...)

Next I need to do some general cleanup to make the model ready for painting. I'm also still considering the best way to add the panel lines. If they are simply drawn in, I can do them after painting. If however I decide to make small grooves to represent the panels, it will have to be done before painting.

That's all for now. More updates soon.
