Arena's Fighting Ships

Curious about the ships of Wing Commander Arena? Well, so are we - but we have collected a good amount of information from the interviews and screenshots posted so far... and we've started to collect it into an article! Read on for a brief history of the fighters and capital ships which we know make a reappearance in the newest Wing Commander game. We've included both 'before' and 'after' shots wherever possible, allowing you to see for yourself how much effort at historical accuracy has gone into this XBLA game. Centurion Award

LeHah noticed something interesting in one of the Wing Commander Arena images -- something that may be a Centurion fighter! The ship appears in the background of the pre-rendered Arena logo artwork from the Gaia Industries website. It's small, but it certainly looks like one of the Privateer ships. Here's a rendering of the original Privateer model in the same position to compare it to:
