No, silly capships didn't think that anything but a locked-on torp could do anything to them. :)
 
Hit you? Did I mention that you're in a Ferret? :) 'Sides, yer shields can hold on until you're in the landing bay.
 
The fast shield recharge on the Ferret means you can hang around a Ralatha... the lack of a torpedo means you can't hurt it. :)

Oh yes. I remember that mission in Sm1, I think, where you have to escort two Draymans/Draymen (perhaps the Reavers, it has been a while...). Those two transports always pushed each opther other away from the navpoint and it took me about 20minutes and a lot of autopiloting to get them back there. That was annyoing...

Heh. Yep, on that first escort mission for the Concordia, I lost the Broadswords, and then spent half an hour pumping mass driver rounds into the Fralthra. Not even a scratch. :(

Or three! Remember that early SM2 mission? And I got chewed out by Halcyon because of it. :( Huh? It was a recon mission only? Oops...

I busted those 3 Fralthis too, after all halycon seemed not that enraged. Didn't he only tell you that you could have been killed and put your life in jeopardy but, ah, okay you are very brave...
I cannot think that he was really angry with you because you destroyed three enemy cruisers.

Well, you see Mekt... the thing is he never really mentioned you destroying the ships... that's the point of that mission: you have to TARGET the ships only. By ENGAGING them, the mission is effectively failed, even if you manage to destroy them...

That's why after the line
"...then I engaged the Fralthis, and..."
Halcyon: "You did WHAT?..."
(...) "You are brave [Maverick], but next time, obey orders, understood?" etc.
he never mentions what happens AFTER you engage them, whether you destroy them or not... ;)
