A True Story (part four of four)
Okay, it's not a story... but it's pictures!
Chris and LOAF in the wind near the mall. We must have checked to see whether the mall had gotten in the Wing Commander figures about three million times. Despite Chris Roberts' insistance that Toys R Us should already have them, they weren't out yet.
LOAF risking life and limb climbing along a fence over the sewer. One of the ways to get from the hotel to the theater was through this sewer drain thing. LOAF's brother insisted we use it because it was quicker.
It was, however, faster to just go through the sewer.
LOAF, Chris and Captain Johnny. You wouldn't know it from the picture, but Johnny's wearing a Prophecy team jacket which has the Prophecy logo on the back. Johnny went to dinner with us and we talked about stuff right before we left. For those of you who know him from IRC, Johnny is that cool in real life too. We were going to see the movie again with him again, but there was no midnight sunday playing. Damn the luck...
The theater near the hotel (where we saw Wing Commander four times) put up this sign to warn people that they can't get refunds after seeing the Star Wars trailer.
Chris and LOAF in the hotel room trying to waste the extra film. I don't really remember what I'm holding up (they're movie ticket stubs from WC -ChrisReid), but it may be some Pokemon cards - Chris bought some for his girlfriend and I bought some for me. I got a light-up Pikachu for my little sister too...
The parting shot as we leave the hotel lobby for the last time. Note LOAF's brother's Lev Arris style jacket, which in any normal situation he wears everywhere.
Chris flies away from Austin's soon to be replaced airport. Will he be back for the premiere of Wing Commander 2? LOAF will return in August when he'll begin classes at the University of Texas.
We'd like to thank...
