Electronic Arts has restructured its role playing and massively multiplayer game development studios under the Bioware name. Mythic Entertainment, which has maintained Ultima Online, Warhammer Online and Dark Age of Camelot for some time, will now be folded into the new organization. This announcement renames the studio to Bioware Mythic and puts them under the same EA executive that originally founded the first Bioware studios in Canada. Coincidentally, the brand's other satellite studio is Bioware Austin, which is currently developing Star Wars: The Old Republic. The company has struggled somewhat with growing the business of its existing MMOs, but they will soon take direct control of Warhammer's European operations. As part of this change, EA also reaffirmed that Warhammer will "provide players with an engaging battleground for years to come."
