Malcolm Reynold's Tiger's Claw has made great progress over the last week, and he's got a better camera to photograph it now too! In addition to showing off the rest of the ship in higher quality, the images below also reveal a few new additions. Some additional structure under the tail and the supports that will form the foundation for the carrier's "wings" have all come together recently. Additional wing work and engine installation will come next, and the finishing touches should be the attachment of the conning tower and turrets. It's taken some creative craftsmanship to get the vessel in the right configuration here, and we're looking forward to seeing the finished design soon.
I've also done a test engine, I'm not really satisfied with how that looks so I'll be going back and figuring something out. I'll probably arrange the engines like they are seen at the end of WC1. I've also done a lot of minor detail work and repairs. As you can probably tell, there needs to be a lot more of that. But the Claw is an old warship, so I don't want it to look brand new. I'm assuming it's had lots of repairs throughout the years and it should look somewhat patched together.
