Low Poly Hornet Is Super
Kevin Caccamo has remodeled the sleek Hornet featured in Super Wing Commander. The high res source is a part of the 3D Model Pack, but Kevin has redesigned the ship to come in at a very low 200 polygons. His hope is that fledgling fan projects might be able to take advantage of this lightweight version. Thanks to a few modern graphical tricks, the end result looks surprisingly authentic. By using Blender, I was able to create the low-res model over the high-res model which I used as a reference. I put Origin's textures onto the model with xNormal. Diffuse map, normal map, height map, and AO map are included.
