The Harkonnen/Ordos Trooper from Dune2 was turned into the C&Crocket infantry in Dune2000, the siege tank from D2 into the C&C artillery in D2000 and the Quad from D2 into something similiar to the C&C missile motorcycle in D2000.
That was what I meant when I said Dune2000 (and possibly Emperor) became too C&C, IMO.
I was sad about that because I consider the missile infantry and the artillery to be quite useless. But I loved the D2 Troopers.

My first game I really played to obsession (except of those "kicking ball with two paddles games) was WC I. I remember (man, it is really a long time ago) when a friend or mine lend me the disks. My english was still really bad at that time (I just started to learn it). I really didn't know what to do so after the start I shot down everything I found including the Tiger's Claw. And then came that "drifting in space" sequence. It took some time before a friend told me about "picking up nav-points" and "requesting clearance to land".
