I'd go with Confed. Confed's not perfect but running off to some other place isn't going to solve Confed's problems.
 
i would join Confed... i would consider UBW however as a whole, Confed is the key to everything...
 
Well, if you wanted to join the Black Lance, all you have to do is sign up with the Border Worlds and walk straight into the Black Lance's "secret" base like Blair did. :D

Andorra... non-canon, disqualified... Confed... I'm too lazy, probably get kicked out... Landreich... capitol planet (and probably only base) of Hell Hole doesn't sound like a nice place to work. So that leaves UBW for me to leech for living. Not to mention people like Pliers and the odd chance to get older technology to use (yay! confed hand-me-downs!) sounds pretty neat.
 
Landreich. They have the best beer.

I also love the story with Kruger, he steals a Confed destroyer, saves a few systems, and the next time Confed gets to deal with him they can't do jack cuz he's Landreich's president. And, confed still doesn't get their destroyer back. I love happy endings.

(Bear in mind, I haven't been able to find a copy of false colors.)
 
Don't get me wrong Confed ok but since my 1st Wing Commander game & Novel was WC4 I like the little guys and the hand down Fighters like the Raptor Class Heavy Fighter.
 
Definately Free Republic of Landriech

I certainly would love to be in the Confederation, but I feel that the Confederation may be too tired down by regulations for my taste. I feel that the Free Republic of Landriech would be better for me, allowing me to use more of my own judgement and not have to be bogged down by as many regulations. :D
 
It sure would be neat to see Bear,Doomsday,Kruger and the rest of the FRLN take on a Nephilim Fleet.I bet they'd be better at it than Lance Casey was.
 
Wait, how can you possibly diss Casey's *flying skills*? You can comment on the actors acting abilities or the characters back story or anything like that... but he's the *player character*. His skill is entirely equal to yours... and exactly the same, therefore, as Blair's.

Yes but Landreich is #1 in the show mods. I mean a Ferret with a CORVETTE engine? Holy cow...

Imagine a Raptor with a single antimatter cannon tied under the nose, and a XL reactor, and a Scimitar with 3x armor plating and gatling style mass drivers lol... they may be old but those crazy people with their escort carriers are probably nothing to be underestimated. I mean who takes a couple escort carriers, some corvettes and a destroyer in a broadside with a small Kilrathi fleet consisting of 3 fleet carriers?!?! and beats them to a stand still?!?! hehehe

Corvette engine on a Ferret?
How does it fit? We're talking about a fighter here, and a fairly small one, at that. I suppose you could strap the fighter to the engine, but it seems like an awful waste of an engine, and should be about as maneuverable as your average brick. You think the Scimitar is unmaneuverable...
And as far as a Raptor and an antimatter cannon - well, I'd rather imagine a MODERN fighter and an antimatter cannon.
 
Well, it was only the engine of a light corvette, but it still looked absurd. It was basically just an engine with a cockpit attached to it.
