Toughest Fighters

The K'ha'haf are the asteroid fighters, right? I never found them too difficult. They were slow and couldn't maneuver for anything, and were easy to just blast away at. Yes, they had lots of armor, but their main weaponry seemed completely ineffective, so just blasting at them for a while seemed to work OK.

Their main weaponry seemed pretty good to me. Think they have two meson guns and four reaper cannons, which can hurt you a lot in an Arrow. But it was the mines that always got me.

I must have bad luck with Grathas; nine times out of ten, I cought a mine when following them.

A few Kilrathi ships are listed as carrying mines in the manual for the original game, but I'm pretty sure that none of them can actually deploy mines in the PC version. I've never seen it happen, anyway.

Now in the SNES port, if you got on a Gratha's tail he'd drop mines like candy.

OK then I'm somewhat relieved that I was not just totally inobservant (I played the PC version 95% of the time).
