No one is going to take the chance and send warning to an Ambassador in the country your going to attack. They may have warned that at some point they were going to attack, but they didnt send a message to the man revealing the exact details before the attack. That would have been stupid.

But it's not at all ludicrous. Most Japanese would have much rather attacked the Soviet Union instead. It was really only the Japanese Navy that held a grudge against the US. Again, if a country wants to conquer an entire continent, it has to be prepared for a few setbacks. It seems to me you're arguing that by not supplying a strategic resource to a aggressor that was threatening its allies and vital interests, the US effectively brought on the attack on itself, which is ludicrous. The responsibilty for launching the surprise attack on Pearl Harbour lies with Japan and no-one else.
