Yep, I had some issues as well with the Excalibur, which I corrected both with a dedicated software and by going in the mesh (for example removing a couple of internal faces in the mesh that led to external faces not being used by the splicer). Here, the issue seems to be on a sub-mesh level. I'll see what I can do for these in the following days and will send Klavs a version that works for printing if he wants to add them to the package.I've seen this kind of thing with "game meshes" they come out full of holes. You have to go into the modeler to fix it. Some programs I think can fix it automatically, but I'm not so sure. I do all my modelling in a solid modelling program so rarely see this issue, but it is correctable.
No problem! ^_^; It's also pretty interesting to learn myself what works and what doesn't.Yeah, I did NOT design these for 3d printing, sorry. Gonna need a bit of elbow grease.
That's great work Mac! I have a Sabre coming, can't say when tho, I do these on a catch as catch-can basis!Oh baby. I'm in love with the Rapiers all over again. I had to quickly make a thing last night because of it:
Love those renders. Starsiege video. You have my attention. I Liked the old Earth/Starsiege games, well not so much tribes, but the mech based ones for sure.Ooo, I eagerly look forward to the Sabre, whenever it may come out.
I actually got sidetracked by the Rapier models and ended up messing with them to give each one the glory shot treatment, when I should have been working on my Starsiege video. 👀
After playing around with the Rapiers, I'm on the brink of buying your Hornet model too now. lool
