You should be very, very glad.

Xuxa borders on scary.

At least it wasn't "Pamela Anderson Teaches Swimming" or "Playboy's Guide to The Alphabet"...

Mind you, the kidnap attempt on Xuxa failed miserably. Wheover was trying it didn't know what the hell they were doing. :D

Heh. I have a nicer set of pictures of her, though.... ;)
And yes, she sucks.
About the kidnapping attempt, two guys were in love with her and one of her assistants so they tried to kidnap them - for sexual purposes - by installing shotguns under the hood and the trunk of an old car and connected the triggers to some buttons inside the car, kinda of a very-low-budget James Bond thing. Rio´s police, used to deal with drug dealers with AK-47s and RPGs, made short work of them.

The local police also deals with robbing civilians a lot too. =(
Well, Xuxa used to be a gold mine for her employers until a a few years ago. Nowadays she's just embarassing. No one cares much anymore. Although her horribly evil bad movies still cash fortunes in the box offices. Argh.

She releases a new movie every three months or so. Each new movie probably sucks a tad worse than the previous one.

They also are releasing a movie.

Eder, it's hard to suck more then "Super Xuxa contra o Baixo Astral", but they can try.

She didn't do that. That sounds weird, and there were no heads involved in the act. It wouldn't be a big deal if she didn't become a mega-star afterwards.

EDIT: Well, what could we expect, a thread about Brazil ends up being about the Rain Forest, Xuxa, and Pele. What about some carnival?

It's not Pele, it's Pelé. The football (screw "soccer") "king".

Dengue rocked, but Praga was even more bizarre. HE was kinda crazy, he sometimes tried to steal the kids' prizes. Cool.

We could talk about Brazillian Politics, or MPB, or how crappy "Woman on Top" is.
