Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom for Saturn is a Wing Commander project which was not released. SegaRetro has unearthed an internal FY1997 Sega brand review which includes a schedule dated December 18, 1995 that includes Wing Commander IV for the Sega Saturn as a planned October 1996 release. Since the Saturn port of Wing Commander III was cancelled it is less likely that any production work was done on Wing Commander IV. Wing Commander IV for Saturn was included in Anthony Sommers' 1998 list of cancelled Origin projects.
