Just discovered a new mission in Standoff. This probably has already been discussed, but in case it hasn't... In the Prologue, in the mission where you're supposed to locate the pirate base, if you manage to defend the Lionheart, but then somehow fail the pathetically easy patrol mission (i.e. you head home before you get to Nav 3), then the next mission, Escort the Lionheart to the Attack Position" is much more long, involved, and, in my opinion, more fun. Plus the banter you get is awesome.
I just want to say thanks to the Standoff team for doing such a diligent job. I bet almost no-one finds this mission unless they're looking by intentionally failing--anyone good enough to stop the swarm of attackers when the Lionheart jumps in can handle the one bandit at Nav 1 and then find the base at Nav 3--but the fact that you actually put in such branching mission lines, and fleshed them out properly, puts you above most commercial game designers! Out of curisoity...that's the only "non-winning path mission" I've found in the Prologue...am I missing a way of creatively losing one of the other missions, or is that the only "hidden" mission? Is that the one that one of you was referring to in an earlier thread when you said that there is at least one mission in Ep 1 that no-one ever plays?
