From what I recall it never says what type of corvette engine or how it works. What puzzles me is how with fighters being so hard to come by, the dishonorated admiral managed to get a jump capable ferret onto Paladin's ship.

Well if your first theory is correct Quarto, then it stands to reason that they also bribed the jump drive to fit on the Ferret with food or whatever it is that jump drives eat ...

I myself know the names of most of the regular posters. In some cases I remember those that just post once in a while. Without looking I can name; Catscatch, No Regret, LOAF, Quarto, Frosty, Cricket, Cmdr_X, Stinger, Earthworm, Chris Ried, Cristopher Blair, Hero, Nighthawk, Blackhawk, Gunner, Kalkrath, Death, and Stardust. Don't be ofended if I didn't mention you, my memory sucks and this is just off the top of my head. Besides that I don't post here that often anymore.

We could create a Kalkrath simulator by bringing in a basset hound or something. It'll spend all its time peeing on things, chewing on things it shouldn't and trying to look cute.

Except it actually will be cute. Unless we get an ugly one.
 
Outside of cartoons, all Basset Hounds are ugly. How about a Cocker Spaniel? They look much better, and make just as much (if not more) noise...
