Capship chart...

I could see the spaceports one and I can see this one too.

Maybe you got some sort of URL filtering at work...

Hmm... the length of the Midway in this picture is 1810 meters, while the other was 1830 meters.

There may be not much of a difference, but there still is a difference.

Since I did not know the length of the Midway when I first made the picture I don't think that 20 metres out is too bad.
It wasn't an exactly scientific approach, plus as I said in my first post, these are approximate size's, not exact.
It still proves that the (in game) Plunkett is still a good few hundred meters longer than the Hades, which was my original point (Knight

).
Oh, and in case you are wondering, 11 pixels is equal to ~100 meters.

Ok.
Now which one is the right one?
The size from within the game or the size from that chart that says the Plunkett is the same (or less) size as the Hades?

CIC Ships DB isn't much help, doesn't have the length of it. I need to play SO again, and I'll check to make sure, but you might just be right

klaus, need to sic LOAF or somebody on that question. Because according to the chart I linked to, the Cerberus is bigger, and it says it had help from the guys in #wingnut, which does and doesn't say a lot, but Primarch has a good comparison also, so I think we need a higher authority on it

Asked him (LOAF) on IRC and he said 750 meters.

Oh, wait, Primarch is right, I was thinking Klaus was talking about the Cerberus for some reason. The Plunkett is 1,100-somehting metters long (it's not 90, but it's close...). I don't have the spec sheet for it here in Maryland, but I do remember thinking it was unusually long for a cruiser...

(There is an updated version of the chart, too, it just never got posted

). The length of the Concordia class ship is wrong, too...

With some info Justin Lee sent me, I put together a little chart, scaling the ships to the lengths he wrote. Here the Plunkett is 1200m.

We stand corrected.

Thnaks for the info LOAF.

Ouch, got bumped by a minute.

How about placing names in those ships?

Your length for the Concordia class is off -- it should be 980 meters, not 780. The Cerberus should be 750 meters... the 777 is some sort of twisted religions joke regarding the ships name

LOAF, I'm disappointed...
Surely you mean the Hades Class Quick Strike Cruiser

Some of us (especially LOAF) should get together and create a Wing Commander encyclopedia. Imagine all of the information from all of the games available in one book. Speaking of which, has anyone seen any good Wing Commander pages like that? I know I've seen some, but I lost the addresses.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

WildWeasel: The CIC is already working on such a thing. In fact, LOAF is the one heading it up. Check the front page of the CIC for more.

He's looking for help too. If you've played all the games, etc, you should see about helping out.
