The Nephilim Turreted Plasma guns should be taken very seriously, and not just in regards to self-survival. With the appropriate fighter support, the Nephilim could destroy a capital ship - perhaps even a carrier - with these weapons. The refire delay is very long, but not so long that a fighter could at any time discount the clear and present danger.


As is the case with the smaller Plasma guns, this weapon has harnessed the power of a star: superheated and rigidly controlled, a plasma beam can cut through its target's defenses with minimum effort.
