Welcome to Wing Commander Encyclopedia! We hope you will contribute much and well. You will probably want to read the help pages. Again, welcome and have fun! CIC 10:27, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello Madman, here's something that will hopefully help you understand the correct spelling of Hangar Deck:

  • The Hornet landed on the Tiger's Claw's Hangar Deck.
  • I hung my jacket on a coat hanger.

Regards. - Wedge

Heh, thanks Wedge! - Madman

Not explicitly, but I do try to link directly to a page instead of going through its redirect. Just have to remember to point to Dralthi II for SM2. And don't worry about it, when I see a mistake being repeated, it's obviously a misunderstanding that needs to be corrected. - Wedge

If they have Mass Drivers, then yes, they are Dralthi IIs. - Wedge

It's fine. We deal with the mistakes when we find them. - Wedge

Basic rule of thumb (although it does not apply in all circumstances) 'i before e, except after c'. Hence, receive, not recieve. Also, if you are unsure about something, leave it blank, don't fill articles with inappropriate question marks (this from Dund, not me, even if I agree). Finally, try to avoid using duplicates or close copies of existing images and try to upload images at their original resolution.

Other than that, a good effort. I don't like visiting #wingnut outside of the birthday time - too much uncivilised and inconsiderate nonsense going on most of the time that it's not silent. - Wedge

The trouble with that idea is that editing wikis is supposed to be dynamic by nature. People should be able to make their edits without being 'blocked' by someone else (the Bondarevsky page is a tricky situation, since it's such a huge article). Try to do as much as you can with an article in one sitting - if you don't finish it, that's fine, come back again later. But I don't think it's a good idea to leave draft-related fluff lying around, since what's in the articles is open to everyone and it should be reasonable to expect that what is written is as polished as possible in a given instance of time. If you need to continue on it now, by all means, do so.

The time of day has nothing to do with my dislike of #wingnut. It happens to be the way it is nearly any time of the day, in any time-zone.

I know, I can't expect you to check every single possible image for duplicates, which is why I said 'try'. At any rate, I've been through them all numerous times, so I'm probably in a better position to watch out for that sort of thing, anyway.

Finally, regarding the transcription, I can't really be sure. My view is that the wording (or content) of game text should be treated as 'canonical', although punctuation may not necessarily be so. It's not up to me to make that sort of decision, though. - Wedge
