An Advanced Droid is an upgrade that can be installed on spacecraft to repair damaged subsystems in-flight. They became available for sale to privateers at ship dealers around 2670. The Advanced Droid is an improvement on the earlier Repair Droid offering the same functinoality at a faster rate of speed. The droids can repair a ships' generators, maneuvering jets and thrusters as well as several optional components: afterburners, jump drives, shields and targeting systems. They can not repair systems that have been completely destroyed or guns, weapons and armor.
