So I replayed the game and I just have a real sense of the game missing the mark that the first one hit and even the third one hit. This being the sense of magnitude of the war.
The reason I say this is because I never get the scope or the feel of the size of the enigma campaign itself because we don't seem to hear about any other operations in the sector. This is either very seldom if at all.
The explanation of the campaign itself seems to only take place in few lines of an exchange with angel where she explains how the Enigma sector got it's name and she says something along the lines of "The strange jump qualities of this sector would allow the Kilrathi to possibly jump right into the heart of Confed territory."
So really what brought me to post this was that I am wondering if there is more outside of the game itself that develops this little piece of canon like the fact that maybe a major incident that is not in the game itself but would have made them aware of the danger of the Kilrathi taking Enigma?
Also, is there anything that would tell us any other task forces involved or smaller operations in the same sector?
The last question has to do with the end of the 6th fleet. Is there anything that sort of points to what a loss like that does to hinder Confed ops? I get that it's supposed to be big, but you never hear anything about it in the novels or future games as far as I know.
