Wing Commander 1 AI enhanced Characters

Iceman has always reminded me of the actor Gregory Peck.
Yes, I see that!

Wing Commander II Angel's art description was "Sigourney Weaver mixed with Demi Moore" if that helps anything!
In WCII Angel's short hair reminds me more of Julie Andrews. WC3 Angel definitely has Weaver vibes

Hi everyone!

Long time WC fan from way back...

These aren't created just AI filtering the original, I'm iterating them over and over with photoshop and then using AI to bring them toward photographs as much as possible. All that is to say this isn't a couple prompts and button clicks, I've spent probably more hours than I should have messing with them.

They are not all the way there yet but I thought it would be fun to show you guys since.. well WC fans would be the only one that can appreciate these. And it's defiantly connecting me with my childhood. Those early mornings getting up just so I could play. Fight down those dreaded Kilrathi.... one more time...

I consider these to be a work in progress so don't be too harsh! Definitely more work to be done to make sure the soul of each is captured.

I think I would say currently my favorites are Iceman, Angel, and Hunter.
These images are great! If I may ask, which AI tool did you use?

Here's my take on it. Not as true to the original as the other ones shared on this thread

Nice interesting take!

I didn't use any one AI platform really, a lot of Magnific but alot of just photoshoping as well. Very often I would endlessly go back and forth between photoshop and make little tweaks to try and get them closer to the pixel source material. Kind of painstaking really.

Sounds like it, but, given that the results are definitely great, your time is well spent!

I appreciate that! People hear "AI" and think it means you pressed a button or it took no effort. Certain things are one click to be sure, but not everything is.
Being a novice AI artist, I know very well what you mean. There is a lot of back and forth, fine tuning, and prompt engineering involved in addition to the manual work on the AI image.

Welp... I guess I stand corrected.... so now this is one button push again. That's it's take on Angel. Looks a bit too old yeah? Interesting none the less. She is really looking alot like amanda tapping here.
