WC1 Deluxe CD - No Sound

Ups! Just found out that my Wing Commander1 is dated 16.09.1990 :O - So MINE is older than yours. And I also have got only VGA files on it, but I think that shouldn't matter anyway.
To the "T" settings, which I couldn't remember:
T1 - Sound Blaster 1.5
T2 - Sound Blaster Pro I
T3 - Sound Blaster 2.0
T4 - Sound Blaster Pro II
T6 - SOund Blaster 16/AWE 32/32/64

At least that is according to Windows XP autoexec.nt ;) - But should fit for you, too, cause your AWE64 is also listed as T6. But back to why I mentioned it: You might want to try out T3 or T1 - just for testing, cause those cards mentioned under T6 didn't exist when WC came out and hopefully your soundcard will work with T3. - I hope you know about that a bit more than me, cause I can't guarantee that it won't blow up your AWE :( - so you might leave it aside as being too risky.

All other than those have got the same size (no idea if they are the same). All in all I've got opnly 340KB dif. Files. - If you want, I could send you those, then delete the others you have got that I do not and try mine. But this depends on you. - Or would such an act be warez? Wouldn't say so, cause you bought the game and I did so, and they are useless without the other files anyway. But not 100% sure there.
 
Just as a followup to this post, I ended up getting another copy of the Wing Commander 1 Deluxe and the sound works perfectly with that. I wonder if the Software Toolworks version was made specifically for a certain sound card or something. When I think way back to when I got this game, I had an Ensoniq SoundScape card and it used to work. Maybe that was the problem all along? In any event, the game works with sound. I just needed one of the different versions, I suppose.

Could be possible. All in all very strange version :confused: - Hopefully your new version didn't cost you that much. But imho a working Wc version is always worth the money ;) That's why I've got two Prophecy Versions, btw. I thought the movie bug was fixed in the later version ^^ - But that's quite long ago and a totally different story ;)
