So I thought I'd drop another line and describe my day today. What the heck. We went to D.C. first and drove around for a long ass time looking for a parking place. So finally we found one that really wasn't too bad. Pretty close to the circle of monuments actually. The first one I saw was the Jefferson Memorial. I think that was the coolest one. Maybe I like it so much because it's the more underrated one. Remember that Simpsons where Lisa's like, "Mr. Jefferson I have a problem." And Mr. Jefferson is like, "I know your problem! The Lincoln Memorial was too full wasn't it? It's not like I did anything important. Just the Louisana Purchase..." And so on.
Then we walked over to the Holocaust Museum. I got a few pictures of me in there with a huge smile on my face. No reason other than it seems like you should be so solemn in there. I was wondering why they even had that museum in D.C. Shouldn't it be in Germany or Poland or something? Next year they should put in a "Fire Bombing of Dresden Museum". That might be kind of cool.
Then we saw the new World War 2 memorial. I thought it was pretty cool because there was a shallow pool of water that you could soak your feet in. By about this time I had my first ever full-blown migraine headache. That was a fascinating experience since I've never had one. there were rainbow colors all around my eyes. And I was like, "The colors children!"
And the last one we saw was the Lincoln Memorial. I think this one along with the rest, would be much cooler to see at night. It was so freakin' crowded though. I think I was just used to seeing it on television with hardly any people around it.
The biggest highlight of the evening was when we went back to Baltimore and there was this awesome coffee shop/bar place where they had live music. Tonight it was Salsa night and there were really sexy women doing really sexy dancing. I truly felt at a loss not knowing how to Salsa. See, this is very refreshing for me since first of all, there are no good coffee shops in Utah, second, there are certainly none where you can also get a martini or a long island iced tea. Third, there simply is no music scene in Utah. And the only way you can get people to dance (I'm the exception of course to this) is if they get really drunk and then they dance with their beer in their hands and spill it all over the dance floor. No class whatsoever.
Well I'm sorry this was so long. I really should start one of those online journals like I've noticed some of you have. I just wanted to tell people about what a fun place this is. The humidity is not my cup of tea though. Bleh...
