Hawk did too. I don't remember the source, it had to be either the WC4 novel or the WCP Guide, but he was there. Of course, we don't label him as "Hawk", because unlike Stingray or Blair, he's not someone the average Confed pilot would have heard of at this time.

This is from the Wing Commander Prophecy guide; his bio mentions that he was given a commendation for bravery for his service at Earth. As for identifying him, though... Blair does immediately recognize his name in Wing Commander IV (Hawk and Panther, from the Astoria System -- which the novel says was somewhere he was stationed, not where they were from.)

Are you sure you mean Longshot? He's only got about three or four lines in Episodes 4 and 5. Actually, I'm not sure he has any lines at all in Episode 5.
