City of God (current #18 on IMDb best movies list)
Elite Squad
Elite Squad 2 (recent movie, may not have English subtitles yet)
Central Station (drama, one Oscar nomination)

I felt a little steampunky the last couple of nights, so I watched:

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - reminds me of Crimson Skies and Strike Commander, while staying pure comic book style

Rocketeer - same line, a bit more geeky than heroic, but has its charm

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - never touched the comics, so I can actually like it.

That said, one of the best underrated movies from the 80s - Young Sherlock Holmes - has been on Netflix Instant for a while. Its of special interest to anyone who likes that Harry Potter crap - its written by the guy who directed the first two movies and many of the characters from YSH look like HP characters for some reason.

Oh - and be sure to watch through the end credits.
