I just barely got this game yesterday and am on the second mission. I really like the graphics and music of the game, but so far the gameplay has been frustrating getting used to.
I guess I expected flying the ships to be somewhat similar to flying a Longbow, but I should've known better. What's been hard for me is trying to keep up with all the commands during battle. Cause it feels like the battle is happening at a much faster rate than you are able to take actions.
And I'm not sure how best to proceed with fleets. I don't know if it's worth cycling back and forth through all the ships, or just to focus with one ship and let the rest of them do their fighting automatically. Then I got confused on the second mission cause the Vulcan chick said I could take my ships over to that repair depot to fix up, so I take my ships over there, and I'm not sure whether I need to beam over crews for all three ships, or what. Then as I'm trying to figure that all out, the mission fails because I didn't protect the Vulcan research base.
I really can see myself getting into this game, but it's been very hard getting used to. Any additional pointers would be greatly appreciated.
