Star Citizen guild- oops, I mean squadron...

If you fellow WC veterans want a Squadron name, how about "oathkeepers"? :)
Is in we (most of us) kept our faith in another Chris Roberts Sci-fi sim game ;)

Now the discussion is long over and WCCIC is just perfect. However, if you want to give a squadron a name - what about Wildcats? It's definitely no rip-off of any of the previous Wing Commander squadrons, yet strikingly familiar..

Was "strikingly familiar" intentional? :) The "Wildcats" were your squadron in Strike Commander. They're most familiar in Wing Commander from the Wildcat fighter (interceptor) introduced in Action Stations.

I imagine we might have several squadrons within the organization, no reason to limit names if you plan on grouping up your own wing. WCCIC is merely an umbrella grouping of like-minded Wingnuts.

After SWG I've had enough fun with squadron command (I prefer leading no greater than Flights or Elements) and plan on going with Blood Most Noble.

With the way membership is structured it would be relatively easy (in future) to move names around into separate groups or squadrons. Even FPS squads.

Hi all! Room for one more? Just back from a really long tour and trying to catch up with everything as best I can. So many questions - how do I join? Which package is best? How could I have missed all of this? Ha. Hope everyone is well and looking forward to getting back into everything.

EDIT: Oh! I seem to have been demoted in 'rank' from the last time I posted... :-(

Don't worry about your rank. I'd updated them to WC ranks and then just messed around a bit. Eventually we can come up with some kind of system for how they'll actually work.

I was thinking time of service with the CIC (forum join date or something like that), games played, SC missions flown with org, etc. I'm always open to ideas.

I like all of your suggestions. Interestingly, it appears that my rank has been 'updated' in the interim.

As far as Star Citizen goes, I am still trying to get up to speed and find the package options overwhelming. Any advice? Also, can you sign up for more than one 'package?'

Odd, I haven't messed with the ranks in a while. I check the org every day or two for applications to join but otherwise it's just sitting pretty.

The only difference between "packages" is in which ship you will start off with. Other than a very few limited edition ships (e.g. the Vandul Scythe), all of the ships will be purchasable in-game with in-game money once your character becomes wealthy enough to buy them. Pick the ship that you want as your starter, and go with that.

A-10 Thunderbolt II + F-57 Sabre + HF-66 Thunderbolt VII = That!

I'm really loving that centerline cannon reminiscent of the GAU-13. Pity $250 is a bit out of my range. Maybe my Imperator coupon could help a bit... hmm, $212.50 isn't much better. This one might elude me.

You Forget the P-38 with the 4 lasers in the nose :D
A fast and heavy escort ship for my 890J. Together with the Retaliator the enemy facing:

13 turrets!
2 ships with the ability to carry Torpedos and the 890J carry size4 Missiles (Harpoon style?)
All 3 ships carry Missiles. Also 2 M50 could be start from the 890J.

I call that a little but strong fleet :D

I want it in that black Color

I was thinking about my Retaliator - it looses gunsize, hardpoints etc.

Reclaim it - and now - Starfarer Gemini is there. We have a armored tanker/Transporter in Memory of the Drayman (nearly same size :D)

The United Empire of Earth military uses an adapted ‘rough and tumble’ variant of the Starfarer for their front line operations. The G2G Gemini, more commonly the Starfarer Gemini or ‘Star G,’ trades some cargo capacity and maneuverability in exchange for reinforced armor, increased shielding, more powerful engines and stronger versions of the three manned turrets. Converted under license by Aegis Dynamics, the Gemini also includes an optional missile pod, which can be swapped for the fuel intake unit on the ship’s nose (see below for details.) Missile pods can be mounted to either Starfarer variant.

Somebody jump in? :D

I just put in my application to join! Can we be part of more than one organization? A guy that I work with created our own group called "Alpha Mike Foxtrot", which we'd be glad to become affiliated with the CIC group if that's a thing.

Yes, you can certainly join as an affiliate individually but you'll have to wait for the next org update before we can assign allied guilds/squadrons. All fellow Wingnuts are welcome!
