Plywood Fiend
Rear Admiral
Greetings.
Recently i've taken to rewording and Wing-commanderising popular tunes, and thus I present this odd tribute to Standoff's protagonist, Captain Bradshaw. The song is based on 'I am the Captain of the Pinafore' from Gilbert and Sullivan's 'HMS Pinafore'. To see the original song, click here:

(Looking forward to episode 5, great work with the previous 4).
Note, possible spoiler warning
I am the Wing Commander ‘Bill’ Bradshaw.
Chorus: And a right good C.O too.
You are nearly almost good,
And be it understood,
I command a half-good crew.
Chorus: We are nearly almost good,
And be it understood,
He commands a half-good crew.
Though I’ve often cause to fear,
Many missiles in the rear,
And fire that is friendly,
I have never once gone pale,
At a dying wingman’s wail,
And the Captain never shouts at me.
Chorus: What, never?
No, never!
Chorus: What, never?
Well, hardly ever!
Chorus: The Captain hardly shouts at he!
So salute thrice, and call him ‘Sir’,
The Wing Commander of the Firekka!
So salute thrice, and call him ‘Sir’,
The Wing Commander of the Firekka!
I did my best to organise you all
Chrous: And with that we’ve few complaints
Took a while to get it right,
Some of you proved quite a blight,
And were hardly very good team mates,
Chorus: Took a while to get it right,
some of us proved quite a blight
And were hardly very good team mates.
With a wing filled with loons,
Former girlfriends, drunks and Spoons,
I used to fear catastrophe,
But it turned out alright
And I got to spend the night
With Sparrow which was quite lovely
Chorus: You never!
I did, yeah
Chorus: You never!
Well, kinda
Chorus: He kinda spent the night with she!
So salute thrice, and call him ‘Sir’,
The Wing Commander of the Firekka!
So salute thrice, and call him ‘Sir’,
The Wing Commander of the Firekka!
