wow, this could so easely turn into an awsome tech manual... I may be jumping the gun a little but still. Very nice.
I think I see some letters on the forward hull but I can't quite make them out... is it a ship name? TCN A...something.
Hey! Great job. One proviso - 'Sheffield class' isn't canonical... we just happen to see a TCS Sheffield in Wing Commander III. We don't know the 'true' class name for these guys... *yet*.
tCS Agincourt by the looks of it... though i thought that was a waterloo class...
Understood but found it a great name to use, or most logical. Read a post discussing about the class name. Being either Coventry Class (with shuttledeck/hangar bay) or Sheffield Class or something completely else. Sticked with Sheffield since the model I made has no hangarbay but thanks for pointing that one out NinjaLA and Bandit LOAF.
For Kilrathi_Princess a black background version. White can be a pain sometimes but it gives a nice technical feel that I like.
A low poly model of the Sheffield Class Destroyer I made a few days ago.
Like its simply but functional design. I'm trying out some various insignia as I go since this is my first real try at texturing any model.
I love it. It better be called the Sheffield class, that's the city I grew up in.
Well, no matter what happens there's still a TCS Sheffield in Wing Commander III (though I imagine the WC3 escorts are a step further from the actual locations - they're probably named after the HMS Sheffield and HMS Coventry sunk in the Falklands War).
