Orestes IX meets Alameda

Having recently re-watched Star Trek IV, I think there are some parallels between the BW raid of the Orestes comm station and the .. well .. quest of Uhura and Chekov to find high energy photons. Specifically, both are clandestine missions to high value targets (ok, the Enterprise has a much more strategic profile) designed to obtain something from rather than destroying that target. Also there is a two person raid party which includes a pilot (Chekov was the helmsman in TOS) and the communications officer. Finally, the former has a dire fate to protect the latter after the party is discovered.

That's a good thought, they do have a very similar dynamic!

This is what I thought! The more I think about it, the more similarities I see.

As a clarification, I am thinking of the game Sosa, not the novel Sosa.
