That's pretty crummy forum management then. Some of you would be amazed at the freaks and weirdos we manage to lock out of this place, despite their crazy attempts to get in.

Just ask spiritplumber and his umpteen dozen proxies, redirectors, and other "these aren't the IPs you're looking for" attempts.

On a tangential note, I don't know why some peoplel find it difficult to get along on these boards. There's all of 11 rules, and only a few of them are really significant in most situations. All we (CZ staff) really ask is that you don't be a fuckhead, once you strip away all the minor details.

Cynical as I can be at times, I still have trouble understanding why some people feel the need to wave around their e-wangs, like anyone's actually impressed by talking shit or flaming on a web board.

I suppose, though, I should be thankful that the nails that need hammering down make it obvious they require the attention...

Their rational is that people who are banned will not come back again. In fact, they rarely come back. That same person is back for the 14th time.

Star Trek computers explode all too easly, if Kirk was around T2 he'd disable the T-1000 with some mind games.

It would make it explode two times over. That same person is back for the 15th and now 16th time. This person has no concept of banned.
 
yeah, seems like the forum admins are kinda dumb.
I was banned 3 times, but I'm not a troll or a spammer. And I know loaf loves to read my posts. eheheh.
 
Like, some medieval village where the same dude keeps coming back and saying "How're yall doing" after being banned by the elders dozens of times. Maybe they are not banning right.
 
Forum administration is a lot like Halo. It's okay until you get to the part where you have to drive that stupid jeep into a tunnel.

But seriously, you need to do more than ban accounts... because telling someone they're not welcome in your club is, in this day and age, a tacit invitation for them to either sneak in or try to break everything -- and that's just regular jerks, the hardcore crazies are even worse. Not a week goes by when we don't get an e-mail from she-man superhero Spiritplumber sweetly acting shocked that it's been banned... and half the time we get some kind of unlabeled executable it expects us to run, too. Forum management sucks, people are horrible.

I've always thought Spiritplumber was a "one of a kind" spam-critter. Can't you just mark it's emails as spam? It's not like it's ever going to send something worth reading anyway.:confused:
 
Since we have his IP logged, why not report him to his ISP's Abuse Team?
 
I remember another forum I went, a couple of nutcases attacked it with dirty porn images and they were reported for it. However, nothing has happened since. Also, one of the offenders posed as the owner and started to solicit sex online, which happened after he was reported. That same person has a history of causing trouble at other forums and was banned a total of 50 times at one forum in a 2 year period. He often brags about being banned at other forums, even non-political ones.
