KS issues - Secret Missions

Annoyingly, not only can I not figure out how the hell to transfer my character from WC1 to Secret Missions, but...

I click SM1 to load it in XP.

I see the intro sequence.

I see, for a fraction of a second, the main menu, with 'Start Secret Missions'.

Then, CTD. No error message, nothing.

Huhhh?

I suppose I should note I'm using a copy of WC1 and WC2 KS that I burned to extra CDs a while back (didn't have the CDs for WC3, so left that out), so I'm not using original CDs. But, given that it was an image, should that be a problem?

I should note that WC1 ran fine, beautifully in fact.
 
You have to set Windows 98 compatability mode on each executable, also you use Transfer.exe to move characters to the secret missions campaigns.
 
Transfer to SM2

Hey,
I just beat WC1 and SM1. I was wondering if there's some way to transfer my character to SM2 (something obvious that I'm missing, in other words.)

Yeah, the same proigram allows you to transfer to SM2.

You have to search a bit on the bunks w/ the cursor, though.
