As for you, though, I think people resorted to one-line answers because you ignored all the detailed arguments. When you explain to someone that he's wrong, and then he goes into this tirade about how your opinion is irrelevant (and then proceeds to explain his original - and still wrong - argument for the umpteenth time), one-line answers seem like a good idea.
