For some reason, the JSF has always reminded me of the F-8 Crusader.

I am unsure about the Crusader point....

The JSF seems like a lightweight F-22, which is what all purchasers wanted. The Vaught F-8:

Does however look in some respects like the Boeing X-32, the other competitor for the same contract, but unfortunately for that company lost the competition.

You misunderstand me.. maybe..

For some reason (I'm not really sure why) the JSF has always reminded me of (even though it is vastly different in appearance than) the F-8 Crusader.

I was making a simple statement. Not a point.

Cor dear, the X-32 is so ugly. I remember when I first ran the JSF flight sim.

But, OTOH, the X-35 is really boring.

The coolest of all those latest protoype fighters is the YF-23. That is awesome.

Yes sir, YF-23 looks brilliant. I wish Strike Commander's future would come partially true so mercenary forces could scrape together the funds to put them into production...!
