Transcript

ANDERSON: [loudspeaker] This is not a drill! All pilots standby for immediate launch!

BLAIR: You know who we're talking about, its Lieutenant Casey. Somebody's going to have to have a word with him, it might as well be me. Mister Casey, can I have a word with you? I've been following your performance. You're not flying to your fullest potential. In fact, you run the risk of being sent home in a box.

CASEY: But, Sir...

BLAIR: No buts, Lieutenant! Now, you'd better get your act together and start flying like lives depend on it. Because they do.

INT. BRIEFING ROOM -- SPECIAL BRIEFING ENDER FOR B3B

Blair notices Casey across the room and approaches.

BLAIR

Mister Casey, may I have a word with you?

They move aside for a private moment as PILOTS continue to exit
the room.

BLAIR
I've been reviewing your mission
stats.
(gives Casey a long
look)
At this rate, the Lieutenant's
recent performance won't earn him
any promotions or medals. In fact
he runs the risk of being dropped
from the flight roster entirely--
or worse yet, being sent home in a
box.
CASEY

But, Sir--

BLAIR
No buts, Lieutenant You'd better
get your balls under you and fly
like lives depend on it...because
they do.

Blair exits. Casey locks after him, slammed. Then he exits to
the Flight Deck.

12/18/96 Draft

A Wing Commander Prophecy First Draft Script dated December 18, 1996 has been provided by Billy Cain.

INT. MIDWAY BRIEFING ROOM

As Casey starts to leave, Blair stops him.

BLAIR
Mister Casey, may I have a word with
you?

The two men move aside for a private moment.

BLAIR
I took a glance at your mission stats.
(gives Casey a long look)
The Lieutenant's recent performance
won't earn him any promotions or
medals.
CASEY
(pissed)
Does the Colonel have something useful
to say, or he is just blowing smoke in
my face?

Blair glares at Casey; and if looks could kill...

BLAIR
The Colonel will shove the Lieutenant
through an air lock if he ever speaks
to him in that tone again. Now get the
hell out of here -- and start flying
like your life depended on it. Because
it does.
