LOSING END GAME #1:

INT. MIDWAY BRIEFING ROOM

The CAG ENTERS to find Anderson waiting for her.

ANDERSON
Seen the latest MIA report?

He hands the CAG a ICIS. She scans it.

CAG
Hill, Renko, Furillo... (looks up,
shocked) Lieutenant Casey didn't come
back?
ANDERSON
You look surprised.
CAG
(nods)
I thought that kid had what it took.

A beat as they both ponder this. Then:

ANDERSON
Ready for the next briefing?

The CAG slowly nods; let's get to it. Anderson taps a panel, and the
briefing room door opens.

The pilots file in; a teary eyed Maestro and a somber Stiletto leading the pack. Hold on
their unhappy faces. Then the equally unhappy CAG begins the briefing.

CAG
Our next mission won't be any easier
than the last...

And as she continues the briefing, PULL BACK into a wide shot of the entire
room. The war goes on as we...

FADE TO BLACK.
