INT. COMMAND CENTER

Blair enters organic, cavernous bridge to landing area. He sees
his ship. Smoke and debris fill the room beyond the doorway.
He steps forward and nudges something with his foot--a dead
marine, still clutching his gun. Tremmors rock the station now
and then. He reaches down and feels his pulse --not one. His
communicator signals.

DEKKER (VDU)
Hey, boss. This place coming
apart at the seams. We're picking
up the last of our boys and buggin
out. Get to your ship.
BLAIR
Understood. See you back at the

Evacuate enemy station at once.

Behind him the Warlord slips down,

BLAIR
Computer, how much time before
destruct?
COMPUTER VOICE
Total destruction estimated: T
minus two minutes and counting...
BLAIR
Give a running count.

Computer voice begins to count down by 10's. Blair feels
something isn't right. He turns. The Warlord stands above him.
Looming. He is scared at first, but then is enraged. She
unfolds in a threat display. He crabs for his side arm. The

the edge.

12/18/96 Draft

A Wing Commander Prophecy First Draft Script dated December 18, 1996 has been provided by Billy Cain.

INT. COMMAND CENTER

Blair turns to go and that's when a huge, black shape fills the door. It's
the Alien Warlord, the same who previously "interrogated" Blair on Dula
Seven. A moment's pause. Then a screaming Blair charges the Warlord,
shooting at him pointblank as the room starts to come down around them. The
warlord lunges.

EXT. SPACE THE WORMHOLE (CG)

Casey and his wingmen roar out of the swirling wormhole -- just as it
spectacularly implodes, destroying the remaining alien forces positioned
outside it in an ever-expanding cloud of starship debris. Among these
remaining alien forces is the Dreadnought which was coming through the gate

INT. MIDWAY FLIGHT DECK

Casey returns to a hero's welcome aboard the Midway; Rachel, the Captain,
Stiletto, Maniac, all of our principal characters are here to greet him. Ad
lib congratulations all around. And then Casey turns to face...

CASEY
Maestro!
MAESTRO
A SAR picked me up. One of your classic
close shaves.
CASEY
What about Blair.
MAESTRO
(shaking his head)
He's officially MIA. Sorry, Casey. He
just didn't make it.

And OFF Casey's painful disappointment...

EXT. MIDWAY (CG)

And the huge ship orbiting the molten remains of Kilrah.

INT. MIDWAY FLIGHT DECK

Aftermath of battle. Casey, Maestro, Stiletto, Rachel, Zero, Spyder,
Finley, the CAG, Anderson, a bandaged Dekker and Maniac are all present.
The Captain stands over many coffins, one with the confed flag drapedover
it-clearly meant for Blair; reading from a ICIS.

CAPTAIN
(mid-sentence)
... ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Amen.

Murmurs of assent. The Captain lowers his ICIS.

CAPTAIN
Colonel Christopher Blair was a
seasoned, dedicated warrior. He'd
served his time and paid his dues. With
great honor. If ever any man was
entitled to rest on his laurels, it was
he.

The Captain pauses as if composing himself.

CAPTAIN
But still... Colonel Blair felt
compelled to put himself in harm's way
one last time... to fly one, final,
crucial mission. Which he did...
exhibiting the bravery for which he is
renowned. I will never forget this
man... or how he passed from us. Nor
will any of you.

He nods to the CAG. She steps forward and, with tears in her eyes, she taps
a control panel. The coffin slides toward a hatch...

EXT. MIDWAY (CG)

The caskets are launched out into space.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT. MIDWAY REC. ROOM

Casey stands at the big windows; looking out through the ports at the black
vastness of space. A long beat. Then Maestro and Stiletto join Casey.

CASEY
If Blair was here... I wonder what he'd
say...
STILETTO
He'd remind us that this isn't the
end... it's just beginning. Whoever our
new friends are... they will be back...
MAESTRO
And we'll be ready for them.
STILETTO
Never give an inch.
CASEY
Give an inch, give a mile.

Bittersweet smiles all around. Then they EXIT. HOLD on the big window and
the vast starfield. Then...

FADE TO BLACK.
