Munro is a star system in the Vega Sector. It is a major Terran territory. It hosts a number of planets, with Munro being the only inhabitable one.
Munro is one of the major gateways of the Orion Arm of the galaxy, as it hosts two jump points that link the Terran star system of Proxima to the Kilrathi homeworld at Kilrah. Munro provides the most direct routes to the capitals of the two warring factions of the Terran-Kilrathi War, as Proxima lies just outside the Sol System, home to humanity's homeworld of Earth. Therefore, Munro was a hotly-contested star system where some of the War's worst battles occurred.
At least six separate battles are known to have occurred at Munro. In 2668, the Terrans bombarded the planet Munro in order to quell the Kilrathi defenses stationed there.
