CAG: It's too bad about Hawk. He was one of our best.

CASEY: Yes, Sir.

CAG: What I don't understand is... Hawk's last transmission. He said all the enemy fighters had been eliminated. Did you see what took him down? No data. Your flight recorder must have been damaged in the firefight. I'll get the techs on it right away. Are you all right, Lieutenant?

CASEY: Yes, Sir.

CAG: Very well, then. Dismissed.

A DVD version of Wing Commander Prophecy was developed but not released. It contained almost every cutscene from the CD-ROM release. Mark Day has provided a copy.

Casey manages a nod.

CAG
Very well, then. Dismissed.

A guilty Casey slinks off to decontam. CAG looks after him,
pondering his reaction.

A Wing Commander Prophecy First Draft Script dated December 18, 1996 has been provided by Billy Cain.

INT. MIDWAY FLIGHT DECK AT DECONTAM CHUTE

The CAG approaches Casey.

CAG
It's too bad about Hawk. He was one of

CASEY
Yes, sir.
CAG
What I don't understand is... Hawk's

Casey covers quickly...

CASEY
Right after he sent that report, we
were jumped by four Fighter Clusters.
Hawk got two of 'em before they burned
him.

The CAG nods; but she doesn't seem fully convinced.

CAG
I would appreciate it if you wrote a
letter to Hawk's next of kin. Tell them
what you just told me -- that he died
in action. Honorably.

The CAG walks off, leaving a miserable, guilt-stricken Casey alone.
