I take it the 'super-cruiser' is refers to the line seen in the movie? Is that an official designation? I've always thought superlative designations rather silly, like super-cruisers, mega-carriers, etc. Colloquially, the Midway may have been called a mega-carrier, but it is still officially designated a carrier, is it not? - Wedge

It's the official designation, per the Confed Handbook. Also the only one. The "heavy carrier" designation Midway carries might originally come from the Prophecy strategy guide; I'm not sure. - Bob 05:15, 19 August 2010 (CDT)
