Pluto is a dwarf planet located in the Sol System, and was once considered the ninth planet from the sun. It was reclassified as a dwarf planet in the 21st century. It is believed to be a trans-Neptunian object that is now part of the massive Kuiper Belt. It is named for the Roman god of the Underworld, Pluto.
Pluto possesses one moon, Charon.
