Granita is a star system in the Epsilon Sector. It is designated as a territory of the Union of Border Worlds.

In 2669, near the end of the Terran-Kilrathi War, it was reported by the Terran News Channel that the Granitan government intended to defect to the Kilrathi Empire in the hopes of making peace with the Kilrathi in the wake of the Terran Confederation's imminent defeat. According to Granitan officials, "Coexistence, not conflict, is the new Granitan policy." The Terrans sent a delegation to Granita to dissuade them from this decision, stating that the Kilrathi "have never honored a negotiated peace."
